About Us - SAGAPED

Sagacious Pedagogues [SAGAPED], is a theatre troupe in Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo, who operates primarily as an inter-faculty theatre troupe and uses the Department of English as its springboard. The troupe is working on undergraduates with the following aims and objectives:

Building the members with creative skills.

Engaging the members in various performing activities.

Campaigning against immoral behaviours on campus.

Raising the standard of theatrism on campus.

Through its programs [Stage productions, film productions, radio drama, music and talk shows, Dance production], pointing out the societal ills and creating a way out of the milieu.

Promoting the rich heritage of Africa.

Serving as a peace maker in inter-personal relationships.

Creating an avenue for members to discover, nurture and showcase their potentialities.

Weekly Radio drama presentation on the school's radio station [Arbico FM] and beyond.

Yearly or bi-annual film production, stage production and dance productions.

Presently, we have members up to thirty able bodies who specialise in acting, dancing, music and visual arts. Most of the members are from the Department of English with the others from other departments such as Biology, Yoruba and Music departments respectively. Membership is not restricted to this departments as it is open to all students of the University provided they meet the auditioning requirements.
